A condotel is a luxury condo that has all the amenities and opulence of a four or five star resort hotel. When the owner is not enjoying the unit, the condo is typically put into the hotel rental program, allowing the room to be rented out as a hotel unit. The revenue generated off the property is then split with the hotel. Condotels give people the ability to afford a vacation property because the profit their unit generates helps to offset some of the costs of owning a second home.
